    Study of some essential separation unit operations (absorption, liquid-liquid extraction, azeotropic distillation) following a similar methodology : technology (batch and continuous operations) ; equilibrium laws ; hydrodynamics ; transfer kinetics ; links with chemical reaction and heat transfer ; design/simulation ; effects of operating conditions.

    Term 2 Assessment - comments

    Oral examination, 45 % of the mark, maximum duration : 120 min, including two questions on theoretical notions, without class notes. Written exercise, 20 % of the mark, maximum duration : 180 min (resolution of an integrated numerical application, with class notes and exercises notes). Laboratory work : including reports on laboratory work (15 %) of the mark, reports on industrial visits (5 % of the mark) and a laboratory exam (15 % of the mark, maximum duration : 120 min), including practical questions on the laboratory work.
