Objectives of general skills
- Understand the economic and social environment and the role of different economic agents
- Develop and structure reasoning by basing it on suitable scientific arguments
- Demonstrate a keen sense of analysis, criticism and ethics in relation to various issues in economics and management
- Be a thorough and independent learner
UE's Learning outcomes
Gives a synthesis of world economic and social history, more particularly of the western countries. Explains basic historical concepts which allow to understand the most important evolutions. At the end of the instruction, the students will be able to see the actual western society, its work and production schemes, in the historical context and to question it.
