UE's Learning outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to:
- read and understand relatively long and complex pieces of writing, capturing subtle nuances in style and meaning, both implicit and explicit;
- follow a lecture or exposé on a specialized topic using regional, familiar or idiomatic language as well as unfamiliar vocabulary;
- subsequently, produce a clear and succinct outline;
- produce a clear, well-structured argument, oral or written, on a complex subject;
- argue a point of view using secondary arguments, justifications and examples.

- understanding of general, particular and detailed information;
- developing efficient listening strategies ;
- identifying and describing relevant grammatical and lexical data.
