Objectives of general skills

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages?? (language skills)
    • Communicate easily and adequately, in both selected foreign languages, at a minimum level of B2 in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)?
  • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
    • Identify cultural differences and talk about them
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately

UE's Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will have a good command of Dutch at the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
More specifically, students will be able to :
•    understand the main points in a conversation of clear standard input on familiar matters.
•    understand the main points of radio and television news bulletins about familiar subjects or current events delivered relatively slowly and clearly.
