Objectives of general skills

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages?? (language skills)
    • Communicate easily and adequately, in both selected foreign languages, at a minimum level of B2 in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)?
  • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
    • Identify cultural differences and talk about them
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
  • Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
    • Conduct targeted and reasoned documentary research in both the core language and the foreign languages ??studied

UE's Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, students will have a good command of Danish at the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

More specifically, students will be able to :
- understand phrases and expressions related to areas of most immediate priority (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, education).
- catch the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements.
- understand and extract the essential information from short, recorded passages dealing with predictable everyday matters which are delivered slowly and clearly.

UE Content

Commented listening of audio(-visual) recordings.

Class activities centred on :
- understanding of general, particular and detailed information;
- developing efficient listening strategies ;
- identifying and describing relevant grammatical and lexical data.
