Objectives of general skills

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages?? (language skills)
    • Use French perfectly in a variety of non-technical situations, both orally and in writing
  • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
    • Demonstrate real knowledge of the cultures of the studied languages
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
  • Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
    • Conduct targeted and reasoned documentary research in both the core language and the foreign languages ??studied

UE's Learning outcomes

At the end of this course, the students will master the A2 level of the Euopean Framework of Reference for Languages. They are able to write about everyday routine and tasks, to produce short texts describing an event or past experience or to write short biographies. They can write a series of simple phrases and sentences linked with simple connectors.
