    • Summarise, explain, and argue
  • Develop reasoning skills
    • Understand and apply the basic principles of reasoning (obtaining data, analysis, synthesis, comparison, the rule of three, syllogism, analogy, Boolean logic, etc)
    • Develop critical thinking, test and monitor conclusions understanding the area of validity, and explore alternative hypotheses
    • Manage doubt and uncertainty

UE's Learning outcomes

Check if student is able to understand a message, analyze the structure and main ideas of it and look for useful information displayed in different ways (graphs, charts, equations,...)  Develop argumentation and reasoning : translation of information from one language to another (standard, algebraic, graphic,...) Develop rigourous communication by mastering vocabulary and symbols: be able to write an explanation or mathematical induction.Perfect previous knowledge about vector analysis, algebra and trigonometry. Check knowledge of student of fondamental physic's concepts, models and principles Develop research of information, ability to argue and make synthesis and conceptual schemes. Develop logical use of mathematics, interpretation of physics  by observing facts. Work on complete problem solving of calculations: use the right laws, data, follow logical reasoning until quantitative answer, estimate orders of magnitude, uncertainties and appropriate amount of significant figures.

UE Content

Perfect previous knowledge about vector analysis, algebra and trigonometry.
Practice the following topics: mechanics, optics, fluids, electricity, waves.

Prior experience
