Objectives of general skills

  • Communicate in a clear and structured manner on issues related to human and social sciences

UE's Learning outcomes

Developing some communicative ability necessary to face daily-life situations which call for the use of the English language: asking for information by email and writing opinions at level A2+; voicing opinions on simple matters; reading and understanding the overall meaning of non-specialized texts at level B2; listening and understanding conversations at level B1+.

UE Content

Revising the basic structures of the English language; Developing some communicative ability, at level A2+ or B1 or Advanced, by calling upon the four language skills (listening comprehension; reading comprehension; written expression; oral expression); Reading and commenting on various texts and articles published in the English press.

Prior experience

Being able to cope with the basic vocabulary and basic structures of the English language is an asset.
