Integrated Assessment: There will be an overall assessment for the entire Programme component (UE) instead of individual assessments for each Teaching Activity (AA)

Objectives of general skills

  • Adopt an applied scientific approach

UE's Learning outcomes

At the end of this course, the students will be able to:
- Draw three-dimensional objects in two dimensions using planar geometric projections.
- Understand Monge's methods and use them in neat working-drawings.
- Draw proper and projected shadows of architectural elements.
- Handle the mathematical concept he will meet in the scientific and technological courses (understanding of the results, their range and limits of application).
- Show rigourous scientific reasoning.

UE Content

Applied Mathematics I - Part II (A-SCTC-321):
- Introduction to real-valued functions
- Differential and integral calculus.
- Introduction to double and triple equations
Descriptive geometry and applications I - Part II (A-ARTR-221):
- Othographic projections:  points, lines, planes, true measures, intersections, shadows, perpendicular lines and planes, displacements, metric problems, circle, polyhedrons.
- Monge's method

Term 2 for Integrated Assessment - comments

The integrated test consists in two parts, one for each learning activitiy composing it. The student succeeds in the integrated test only if he succeeds in any of this two parts. Nevertheless, in case of failure, the student only has to represent the part where he didn't obtained 10/20.
