Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the theoretical and methodological fundamentals in psychology and educational sciences to analyse a situation involving these disciplines
    • Identify and explain the concepts, principles and models of fundamental theoretical trends in psychology and educational sciences and their applications
    • Identify and describe the biological and socio-cultural foundations of human behaviour
    • Identify and describe the specific characteristics of psychology and educational sciences and their relationship to other contributory disciplines
  • Understand the fundamentals of intervention
    • Describe and illustrate the different types of intervention in psychology and educational sciences (or education systems)
    • Describe the steps of the implementation process of interventions and identify the stakeholders involved
  • Provide clear, accurate, and reasoned information
    • Summarise the contributions of different sources to justify an opinion or decision
    • Provide information (both orally and in writing) regarding the fields of psychology and educational sciences in an intelligible manner, with a good command of the language communication techniques.
  • Act ethically and professionally
    • Name, and be familiar with, legal frameworks and ethical principles that govern research and practice in psychology and educational sciences, and implement them in studies in a reflexive manner (exams, work, etc.)
  • Grow personally and professionally
    • Name the separate branches of psychology and educational sciences
    • Identify the different stakeholders involved in the practice of psychology and educational sciences
    • Direct their choice of modules within their degree programme in order to develop a career plan in line with the realities in the field and their profile (aspirations, strengths, weaknesses, etc.)
    • Develop their scientific curiosity and open-mindedness
    • Understand the various means available for documentation, to promote self-learning and lifelong learning
    • Demonstrate self-awareness and assess themself, as well as analyse and adapt their attitudes to avoid certain biases both in research and in professional practices

Learning Outcomes of UE

Basic skills in mathematics, English, French and science (biology, physics, chemistry).
Development of soft skills, specific to the "student profession", necessary for university life (note-taking, stress management, time management, etc.).
Discovering professional realities in the field of psychological sciences, education, speech therapy and clinical orthopedagogy.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Participation in various seminars and methodological activities aimed at contributing to the success of students on different topics such as note-taking, time management, stress management, good manners, etc.
Assessment of basic skills in mathematics, English, French and science (biology, physics, chemistry) and remediation in these areas.
Personal and professional development, professional identity, professional practices, job opportunities, etc.

P-SEDO-264As part of the AA Digital Skills Development program, students are required to take part in a digital skills assessment on the Pix platform. As part of this online assessment, students must reach the threshold (level 2) set by the teaching team for each of the eight targeted skills (conducting research and monitoring information; managing data; processing data; interacting; sharing and publishing; collaborating; developing text documents; securing the digital environment) to obtain “validation” for the AA.  An alternative reflective activity is offered to students who do not wish to create a Pix account. In this activity, offered on the Moodle platform, students must meet all the assessment criteria (compliance with instructions, ability to answer questions, spelling, etc.) to obtain “validation” at the AA. Non-participation, failure to meet assessment criteria or non-compliance with instructions do not entitle students to credits for the learning activity concerned.
