Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
At the end of the course, students will be able to
- distinguish types of parties and their ideology
- locate the great political and philosophical ideas in this general history
- understand their role and specificities of these ideas
- explain ideas, structures and evolution of a political party
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Theorical part: classification of political parties, Rokkan-Lipset cleavage theory; focus on Belgian political parties, their history and their current situation
Practical part: study (individually or in groups) of a political party: history, doctrine, structure, programme, influence, etc.

H-SPOL-201 | Students will be invited to produce a written work (bibliographical and journalistic research) on a political party chosen at random, on an individual basis. This written work will then be the subject of an oral presentation followed by a debate. All of this will take place outside the examination session. 70% written work; 30% oral presentation. |
