Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the scientific foundations of technological processes and the management of information flow and their respective involvement from a managerial point of view.
    • Understand the scientific fundamentals of production processes and their implications.
  • Demonstrate working and analytical rigour.
    • Develop their scientific curiosity and open-mindedness

Learning Outcomes of UE

Learn fundamental scientific knowledge in the fields of physics, the reaction chemistry and water chemistry, thermodynamics and thermal science and fluid mechanics.
Master the states of matter and orders of magnitude.
Be familiar with the main environmental concepts

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Through the natural environment (spheres, cycles, mineral and energy resources) and entropic impact (greenhouse effect, ozone layer, acid rain), the lecture is devoted to the presentation of the basic concepts of physics, the reaction chemistry and water chemistry, thermodynamics and heat transfer, fluids mechanics.

Physics: Nature and propagation of light, reflection, refraction, color perception, radiation balance; description of the movements; Forces conservative / non-conservative, labor; power; potential energy - kinetic energy; principle of conservation of total energy.

Chemistry: Composition of the atmosphere and lithosphere, pH; redox reactions, radical reactions in the atmosphere, quantities characterizing water; equilibrium constant, solubility, precipitation; organic compounds ; Latent heat; enthalpies of formation / reaction, equation of state  (ideal gas).

Thermodynamics: first principle Clapeyron phase diagram; Specific heat.

Thermal: heat flow; convection, conduction and radiation; heat exchanger.

Introduction to fluid mechanics, Bernoulli's principle.
