Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Mobilise communication skills in two languages other than French, both orally and in writing, as a presentation of an argument or piece of research in accordance with scientific ethics.
    • Understand, synthesise and discuss complex information and texts, expressed in English and at least one other language.
    • Communicate in a clear and structured manner on issues of economics and management
  • Demonstrate working and analytical rigour.
    • Be rigorous and independent in learning, particularly through adequate planning of activities to be undertaken in order to best utilise the time available.
    • Demonstrate self-awareness, assess themself, and adapt.

Learning Outcomes of UE

By the end of the course the student will be able to:
- understand texts related to economics and global issues
- express their opinion on any topic related to economics and global issues
The student will therefore be expected to:
- produce grammatically correct sentences
- develop fluency through productive skills (writing and speaking)

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Grammar and vocabulary exercises
Economics-related texts
Listening comprehension (audio / video)
Online exercises
 

Prior Experience

Knowledge of the basic grammar structures and vocabulary of the English language would be an advantage.

Students with no knowledge of English are strongly encouraged to attend the remedial classes throughout the whole academic year.

  • Written examination - Face-to-face

Q1 UE Assessment Comments

Written or online exam on all the content seen during the module: 100% of the final grade for that module

2 tests will be organised during the first semester. Students must attend at least 60% of classes in order to take the tests.
Students will be exempt from taking the exam if they achieve at least 50% on the tests.
