Learning Outcomes of UE
Learning unit in the Bio-Inspired Chemistry and Chemistry of Life module of the Advanced Master's program, designed to provide the foundations for the development of biomaterials for life.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
The Bio-macromolecular engineering course is a part of the bio-inspired and live chemistry module of the Master program of UMONS. It offers a high level knowledge destined for students who are interested in learning about biomaterials related to the field of chemistry-biology. This module lays the relevant ideas that are updated on scientific advances in the following disciplines: biochemistry of macromolecules, biotechnology, techniques of analysis and characterization, strategies and tools of organic synthesis, biophysical science, biophysics. At the end of this course, the students are in the measure of apprehending, mastering and adapting the best tools and innovations in bio-macromolecule engineering and participle or support in the field of interdisciplinary research projects.

The presentation of the article takes around 10 minutes, based on a 5-10 slide powerpoint, and gives rise to a 20-minute discussion with the teacher, who will use the concepts seen in class. " In the event of proven plagiarism with aggravating circumstances of erroneous bibliographic referencing for the relevant part of the work, the grade for the teaching unit (i.e. educational component, EU) will be zero points out of twenty (0/20) and the case file will be forwarded to the deliberation jury to rule on the merits of further sanctions. |
