Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the fundamentals
    • Have a good knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of physics and of the role of models and theories.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of mathematics suitable for the study of physics, and be able to use this mathematics in applications in the field of physics
    • Undertake further study having already acquired and enhanced the necessary learning skills
  • Provide clear and accurate information
    • Communicate complex information to a qualified scientific partner

Learning Outcomes of UE

Acquisitions of specialized notions of physics of fundamental interactions
Knowledge and use of bibliography tools

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Several topics of physics of fundamental interactions in areas related to the research activities of the teachers
Notions of bibliography and related issues

Prior Experience

Not applicable

Type(s) and mode(s) of Q1 UE assessment

  • Oral presentation - Face-to-face

Q1 UE Assessment Comments

Presentation of a bibliographic research on a question asked as part of the course "Bibliography and computer tools"

Method of calculating the overall mark for the Q1 UE assessment

The weighting between the AA of Q1 and Q2 is 40/60:
40% for AA Bibliography and computer tools
60% for the AA Seminars of physics of fundamental interactions.
A minimum of 10/20 must be obtained for each AA, otherwise the lowest AA score is used for the final EU score.

Type(s) and mode(s) of Q1 UE resit assessment (BAB1)

  • N/A - Néant

Q1 UE Resit Assessment Comments (BAB1)

Type(s) and mode(s) of Q2 UE assessment

  • Oral presentation - Face-to-face

Q2 UE Assessment Comments

Presentation of a scientific topic related to the presentations of the course "Seminars in the Physics of Fundamental Interactions"

Method of calculating the overall mark for the Q2 UE assessment

The weighting between the AA of Q1 and Q2 is 40/60:
40% for AA Bibliography and computer tools
60% for the AA Seminars of physics of fundamental interactions.
A minimum of 10/20 must be obtained for each AA, otherwise the lowest AA score is used for the final EU score.

Type(s) and mode(s) of Q3 UE assessment

  • Oral presentation - Face-to-face

Q3 UE Assessment Comments

An oral presentation for each unsuccessful learning activity with the same conditions of success as for the first session

Method of calculating the overall mark for the Q3 UE assessment
