Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
By the end of this course, the student will have acquired the main cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating the formation, physiology and potential brain pathologies. In addition, he will know the basic mechanisms explaining the transmission of nervous signals.
The directed research will allow the student to become familiar with the scientific literature on the subject, as well as the associated techniques. He will be able to write an appropriate synthesis.
The simulations of electrophysiological experiments during the practical work will allow the student to understand the properties of nervous and neuronal action potentials.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
This course provides the basis of cellular biology necessary for the understanding of brain development and physiology (neuronal communication), as well as the mechanisms underlying certain pathologies.
