Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this course, students will be able to analyze a video of their own practice with regard to the explicit teaching strategies discussed in the university certificate in explicit teaching of contents and behaviors (initiation) by answering notably the following questions: What are the practices that correspond to explicit teaching of content and behavior? What are the practices that do not correspond to it? What are the practices of explicit teaching of contents and behaviors that are not visible on the video but that could be implemented to improve the lesson?
 

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

- The different important professional gestures of explicit teaching of contents and behaviors (the different ways of checking understanding, the different types of feedbacks...);
- Observation grids.

Each participant films themselves and their students (for about 50 minutes) and writes a report comparing their professional actions to the professional actions covered in the course (strategies correctly implemented, "poorly implemented", absent). The report must include links to scientific sources and be based on evidence, not intuition.
This activity requires the participant to have completed the "Permission to Produce and Use Images and Sound for Research and Training" document (provided by the teaching staff) from the parents of the students in the class being filmed.
