Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
AA Medical Image Processing
develop an applied image and/or video processing system for medical applications, together with a critical analysis of the problem;
understand image representation taking into account the particularities and modalities of medical images and applied digital image analysis (low-level and high-level methods for denoising, segmentation,...) and processing methods, taking into account current usual tools in the field;
have direct contacts with actors in medical applications to have a better understanding of the applied field and constraints.
AA Bioelectric Signal Processing
understand the sequencing of modules in a complete biomedical signal acquisition and processing system, for various signals (electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, electromyogram, etc.), from sensor to feature extraction; understand brain-computer interfaces (brain signal acquisition, processing, and interpretation) and be ready to implement them.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
AA Medical Image Processing
image processing (low-level processing, image understanding); medical image analysis (image acquisition, modalities & features);
AA Bioelectric Signal Processing
biomedical signals (origins, bioelectrical phenomena, acquisition and sensors, amplifiers, filters); biomedical signal processing techniques (filtering and artefact elimination, event detection, feature extraction); intorduction to brain signals; BIOPAC tools, PYTHON, Labview.
Prior Experience
fundamentals of signal processing; probability and statistics
