Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
AA-Channel Modeling: to understand the basic principles of commmunication channels (line theory, metallic and dielectric waveguides, free space propagation, antennas)
AA-Transmission Protocols for the Internet of Things: to give an overview of WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) or IoT (Internet of Things) transmission systems that are used nowadays to collect and transmit data in a huge amount of applications, and to give a clear view of the different step needed to provide a connection between a sensors and the laptop of a user.
AA-Case Studies: Laboratory sessions

AA-Channel Modeling: Introduction; Transmission line theory (basic equations, sinusoidal traveling waves, Smith charts, transients on a line); Propagation in metallic and dielectric waveguides; Free space propagation; Antennas.
AA-Transmission Protocols for the Internet of Things: Requirements and specificities of IoT transmission; Overview of the main systems (LoRaWAN, ZigBee, Bluetooth, ..); Specific protocols for IoT (CoAP and MQTT)
