Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this course, students will be able to:cite and criticize the various cooling systemsexplain the method used to size an air conditioning system for a room. explain the operating principle of a refrigeration system and a heat pump. explain the thermal regulation on the Energy Performance of Buildings.state the principles for calculating the EW using the PEB software; state the principles of construction of a low-energy and passive building; state the mechanisms of visual perception; characterize the main parameters of light; describe the ways to seamlessly distribute the light in the built environment; master the language of lighting designers in order to be able to work by themselves or with the help of professionals on small projects exterior lighting.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Air conditioning, refrigeration machine; sizing of HVAC systems; Humidifiers; passive solar shading; PEB standards; Ew index; PEB software; energy sectors; Specific energy; domestic hot water, lighting techniques, physical and physiological prerequisites; Description and characteristics of lighting equipments for exterior lighting calculation methods.
