      Content of Learning Activity

      Thermodynamic laws; non-ideality, excess quantity , notion of fugacity and activity
      Equations of state for real gases.
      Solution models - electrolyte solutions.
      Thermodynamic properties of pure and mixture of coumpounds (specific volume, enthalpy, cp, viscosity, surface tension)
      Liquid-vapour equilibrium; Solubility of gases in liquids; Adsorption; Liquid-liquid equilibrium; Liquid-solid equilibrium.
      Stirling cycle for refrigeration.
      Stirling engine.
      Refrigeration and heat pump using reverse Joule cycle.
      Exergy.
