Content of Learning Activity
Phase diagrams and phase transformation;
Conventional steels and automotive steels (high strength steels): structures and properties;
Heat treatments in the mass and surface heat treatments; Metal alloys other than ferrous alloys (wrought Al, Mg and Ti alloys);
Structural alloys: Ferrous cast irons (white-gray), Al cast irons, Cast Mg alloys;
Resistance in corrosive environments: the different types of corrosion, the study of stainless steels, refractory steels and alloys, Al alloys and Ti alloys.
Consideration of cost and sustainability aspects.
