Programme component

Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Intercultural and Interlinguistic Communication : adopt a specialist approach. Master the knowledge and know what skills are required for multilingual negotiation.
    • Master the rules of interaction specific to a particular community, including non-verbal elements (useful knowledge to be able to negotiate).
    • Master the different registers and define one that is appropriate to a given situation, for a particular written or oral speech.
  • Communication and Living Together in The Scandinavian Area : adopt a specialist approach. Master the linguistic, cultural and methodological knowledge to undertake research in different fields of the Scandinavian world.
    • Master communication rules necessary for the investigation of linguistic and cultural issues in Scandinavia.

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this programme component, students will master Norwegian at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages, as for receptive competences. They will be at level A2 for productive competences.
They should be able to:
- understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics;
- produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest;
- describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Commented reading of a large range of texts. Commented listening activities, based on audio(visual) resources.

Oral and written production exercises: written texts and oral utterances in Norwegian on various topics.

Systematic and appropriate use of grammar and vocabulary.
