Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Use French perfectly in a variety of non-technical situations, both orally and in writing
    • Understand, reformulate and summarise documents and presentations, in French, on various topics written by experts, including those related to current affairs
  • Understand and integrate cultural similarities and differences (cultural and intercultural skills)
    • Identify cultural differences and talk about them
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
    • Carry out, alone or in groups, activities or projects involving critical analysis
  • Conduct relevant research and report on it in a critical manner (cognitive skills)
    • Conduct targeted and reasoned documentary research in both the core language and the foreign languages studied

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this learning, students will be able to comment on the errors of a text which i poorly written in, or poorly translated into, French. They will also be able to correct these texts regarding the language and the specific rules of French typography, as well in respect of the original.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Correction of texts written in French; analysis and revision of poor translations in French; exercises in the application of typographical rules; punctuation exercises (special cases); preparation of a revision work.
