Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Imagine, design, optimise, carry out and implement projects and solutions to address a complex problem by integrating needs, contexts and issues (technical, economic, societal, ethical and environmental).
    • Identify complex problems to be solved and formulate the specifications by integrating client needs, contexts and issues (technical, economic, societal, ethical and environmental).
    • On the basis of modelling, design one or more projects and solutions addressing the problem raised; evaluate them in light of various parameters of the specifications.
    • Implement a chosen solution in the form of a drawing, a schema, a plan, a model, a prototype, software and/or digital model
  • Mobilise a structured set of artistic and scientific knowledge and skills and specialised techniques in order to carry out architectural missions using their expertise and adaptability.
    • Master and appropriately mobilise knowledge, models, methods and techniques specific to the architectural engineering.
  • Plan, manage and lead projects in view of their objectives, resources and constraints, ensuring the quality of activities and deliverables.
    • Define and align the project in view of its objectives, resources and constraints.
    • Exploit project management principles and tools, particularly the work plan, schedule, and the document monitoring.
    • Assess the approach and achievements, regulate them in view of the observations and feedback received.
    • Respect deadlines and timescales
  • Work effectively in teams, develop leadership, make decisions in multidisciplinary, multicultural, and international contexts.
    • Interact effectively with others to carry out common projects in various contexts (multidisciplinary, multicultural, and international).

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this course, the student will have acquired notions enabling him/her to master the urbanistic, architectural, structural and technical composition for large architectural projects. The lighting and acoustics course allows the student to deepen certain notions relating to environmental acoustics, acoustic insulation, as well as the natural and/or artificial lighting of large infrastructures.

UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance

Design a large-scale project that responds to a mixed programme of services, facilities, infrastructure and public spaces.

On the scale of an urban block, structuring and development of the public space by taking into account the needs of users, their well-being and the particularities of the urban environment.

Technical study of a part of the project, focusing on the lighting and/or acoustics of a building or public space.
