Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Introduce the basics of telecommunication systems, both older and current ones. Acquire a mathematical background in signal processing and related topics that prepares students for advanced-level telecommunication classes.
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
Introduction to communication chains. Reminders about probability theory. Integral transforms of continuous-time signals. Stochastic processes in telecommunications. Modulation. Demodulation and digital receivers. Analysis of discrete-time signals. Introduction to the electronic architecture of transceivers. If enough time : introduction to measure-theoretic probabilities.
Prior Experience
Course "Electricité, signaux et systèmes". Ideally, "Probabilités et statistiques".
