Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Formulate a personal reflection on the engineering profession and his/her own wishes of professional development
Describe and use the steps of a project, according to CDIO approach
Implement teamwork and conflict resolution skills;
Evaluate a solution, recommendation or decision taking into account simple ethical questions
Use basic tools (catalogs and standards; spreadsheets, CAD tools and possibly FabLab; error propagation) to support the design and analysis of a solution
UE Content: description and pedagogical relevance
- 6 two-hour sessions on identified topics of Engineering
- 6 two-hour sessions where one or two witnesses of the profession to share their experiences
- 12 half-days of activities related to the dynamics of a project
(for more details, see the Learning Activities)
Because of the type of activities, the participation from the beginning of the year is essential. Participation in the project half-days is mandatory.

Q1 UE Assessment Comments
The final mark results a priori from the weighted average of two components:
- Component 1: evaluation of the project by means of the presentations during the meeting points, the written report, the project delivrables and the presentation of the project result: 80 %
- Component 2: evaluation of the contribution within the portfolio (personal reflection on professional project): 20 %
If the mark of one of these two components is lower or equal to 7/20, the final mark will be equal to the lowest one.
Given the characteristics of the course (work carried out collectively within the university with mandatory activities), access to the"remedial" session is only possible in the event that the jury requests the submission and defence of a revised report. In all other cases, there is no remedial or 2nd session; the student must therefore enrol in the following year and participate in all the activities of the program (no exemption).
