Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Select an appropriate manufacturing process for metal parts as well as for plastics or composites according to specifications.
Choose a suitable material for the manufacture of a part.
Analyze the advantages and disadvantages associated with additive manufacturing.
Take into account manufacturing constraints (cost, quality, schedule) when designing a product ("Design for X").
Understand the role of materials in manufacturing processes and the effect of processes on the mechanical properties of manufactured parts.
The course supplements information given in the Manufacturing Processes 1 course. It gives an overview of advanced manufacturing techniques as well as manufacturing processes of products made of plastics or composite material.
The course is given by academics who conduct research in the field of manufacturing technology and, in the same time, maintain close links with industrial companies, providing education to the forefront of technological and industrial requirements.
