Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Allow students to deal in depth with social fields which fall under current stakes. The two classes intend to provide students with a strong knowledge base in the fields of i) development, ii) relationship between man and the environment; they aim at increasing their critical stance (through readings) and at drawing their attention to the changes which constantly take place within each of them. The content of those two classes introduce that of classes which are part of the METIS MA1 program.
Content of UE
This UE focuses on two theoretical corpuses: i) Tradition and Modernity and ii) relation between Man and Nature. In addition, both topics are viewed through the scope of social change: development policies, as a dynamic object dealing with tradition and modernity; environmental policies as an example of responses given by societies to the environmental stakes societies are currently facing.
