Learning Outcomes of UE


To analyse the structural elements (verifying conditions of stability, waterproofing, hygrothermic and acoustic comfort, durability, economy, ...) which make up the wall structure/roofing for small or medium sized constructions built in traditional techniques, while studying the aesthetic consequences.

Content of UE

  Wood:Structure, characteristics, the most commonly used woods, problems, usage and working, reaction to fire, plywood and panelling, floors and parquets, doors, window frames, surface finishing.
Natural stones:
Definitions and origins, types, qualities and defects, use and sourcing.
Common or joint ownership:
Definitions, objective, insulation, chimneys.
