Content of Learning Activity
The part concerning magnetism includes a classical and quantum approach of the origin of magnetism in matter. Then the different magnetic behaviors (paramagnetism, ferromagnetism...) are explained and described. Some applications are also given.
The biophyciscs part mainly focuses on the physics of medical imaging, especially the nuclear magnetic resonance phenomenon and magnetic resonance imaging. It also contains a short introduction to positon emission tomography, X-ray tomography and scintigraphy.
