Content of Learning Activity
Light-cone (or BRST) quantisation of the bosonic string. Introduction to two-dimensional conformal field theories and application to the definition of string states via vertex operators. Computation of an example of string scattering amplitude. Derivation of Einstein's equations as conditions of quantum consistency of the string in an external curve backgroung.
