Content of Learning Activity
This module will address the diseases that most commonly lead to visual loss, from visual impairment to blindness. Blinding diseases in children and adults will be explained in greater detail as their incidence increases, with particular emphasis on age-related diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma and AMD, as well as the frequent retinal effects of high blood pressure and diabetes. Cognitive disorders associated with visual impairment will also be explained here, as well as situations of polyhandicap associating visual disorders with other deficits
