Introduction: Background of imaging techniques, X-ray scanner, nuclear imaging with radioisotopes (PET and SPECT techniques), ultrasound imaging, MALDI imaging, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), optical imaging (techniques of FRAP, FRET, FLIM, FLIP and FCS) Conclusions: description of the advantages/disadvantages and complementary aspects of the techniques, presentation of molecular imaging applications
