Content of Learning Activity
This course will present a broad overview of current laboratory methods and technologies as well as strategies for studying cancer at both fundamental and translational level. Different principles will be studied: transfection for gene overexpression or deletion (CRISPR-Cas9); cell proliferation, survival, clonogenic analysis, cell cycle, senescence, apoptosis; cell motility, migration, invasion; study of cell signaling pathways (Phospho arrays, RPPA, PamGene); seahorse-type metabolism and by NMR; Next Generation Sequencing (NGS); Digital PCR; analyze statistics; analyze database. In addition, the link between laboratory research and clinical trials will be assessed.
