Combustion: mass and heat balances; radiative heat transfer from combustion gases; design of combustion chambers. Flames: fundamentals: ignition, propagation, flammability limits; Burners: introduction, classification; gas burners: premixed and diffusion flame; flame stability and stabilization techniques, flame length variation, pollutants.
