Petroleum refining : refining in the current energy context, description of petroleum cuts, hydrocarbons and physico-chemical properties, objectives and characteristics of the main refining units, simplified refining process, relation between fuel specifications (for gasoline and diesel) and refining units (effect of the operating conditions) Petrochemical processes: steam-cracking, catalytic reforming, steam-reforming and partial oxidation, basic reaction principles and unit operations for separation, understanding of processes, effect of the operating conditions on products
