Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

• Master specialist knowledge in the field of economic, political and social sciences in order to mobilise it on issues related to political, economic and social environments.
• Assimilate political, economic and social environments.
• Analyse concrete political, social and economic issues in a multidisciplinary way, identifying future societal changes.
• Analyse a situation by critically selecting adapted methodological theories and approaches.
• Develop innovative solutions/actions/policies/methodologies adapted to an institutional and social context of actors concerned in a process of change.
• Monitor knowledge and methodological approaches in order to evolve their thinking and practice.
• Implement a scientific approach in order to carry out detailed research on issues within the economic, social or political field.

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of the course, students will be able to understand the rationale behind the social economy and the role it can play alongside the profit and public sectors. Students will also be able to understand and take a critical look at the functioning of social economy and non-profit organisations.

Content of UE

- Historical and Contemporary Approach to the Social Economy
- Definition of the concepts of non-market sector, social economy, social and solidarity economy, third sector, associative sector, social enterprise, social innovation, social entrepreneurship
- Presentation of the types of organizations that make up the social economy
- Management of organizations in the social economy and the non-profit sector.
