Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of the course, the students will be able to understand the basic concepts of relational databases, question a relational database using requests (SQL language) and understand the basic principles of the design of a relational database. They will also be aware of new data management technologies (eg NoSQL databases, full-text indexers and semantic databases).

Content of UE

Introduction to the databases. The relational model. Concepts of relational algebra. SQL language. Entity-Association Model. Data Security. NoSQL database. Full-text indexers.
