Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

Learning Outcomes of UE

Learn fundamental scientific knowledge in the fields of physics, the reaction chemistry and water chemistry, thermodynamics and thermal science .
Master the states of matter and orders of magnitude.
Be familiar with the main environmental concepts and them to basic science

Content of UE


The lecture is devoted to the presentation of the basic concepts of physics, the reaction chemistry and water chemistry, thermodynamics and heat transfer.

Physics: Nature and propagation of light, reflection, refraction, color perception, radiation balance; description of the movements; Forces conservative / non-conservative, labor; power; potential energy - kinetic energy; principle of conservation of total energy; unidimensional collisions; semiconductor.
Chemistry: Composition of the atmosphere and lithosphere; pH; redox reactions, radical reactions in the atmosphere, quantities characterizing water;
Thermodynamics: first principle Clapeyron phase diagram; Specific heat; diesel engine; Joules cycles and Hirn; Carnot efficiency and performance; thermochemical storage

Thermal: heat flow; convection, conduction and radiation; heat exchanger
