Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Use French perfectly in a variety of non-technical situations, both orally and in writing
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this learning, students are expected to be able to:
- have a grammatical thinking about word compounding (class and morphological aspects) and between words and clause elements within the sentence;
- consult the main French grammars reference

Content of UE

Basic functional mechanisms - word classes - verb, noun and adjective syntagms - simple sentence (first predication) - simple sentence (second predication and complements) - complex sentence (subordination) - multiple sentence (juxtaposition, coordination).
