Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes of UE
Understanding the transient behaviour of synchronous machine, its regulations and load models; understanding the angular and voltage stability problems in modern power systems and be able to propose stability enhancement solutions.
Content of UE
Dynamic modelling of synchronous machines, voltage and speed regulations, load models, angular stability: small and large perturbances, voltage stability.
Prior Experience
Circuit theory, control theory, synchronous machines in the steady-state and Park model, power systems.
