Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Imagine, design, optimise, carry out and implement projects and solutions to address a complex problem by integrating needs, contexts and issues (technical, economic, societal, ethical and environmental).
    • Identify complex problems to be solved and formulate the specifications by integrating client needs, contexts and issues (technical, economic, societal, ethical and environmental).
    • Evaluate the approach and results for their adaptation (optimisation, quality, sustainability, responsibility, etc.).
  • Mobilise a structured set of artistic and scientific knowledge and skills and specialised techniques in order to carry out architectural missions using their expertise and adaptability.
    • Master and appropriately mobilise knowledge, models, methods and techniques specific to the architectural engineering.
    • Model a project or solutions by selecting theories and methodological approaches (modelling, calculations) and relevant techniques while taking into account multidisciplinary aspects.
  • Plan, manage and lead projects in view of their objectives, resources and constraints, ensuring the quality of activities and deliverables.
    • Exploit project management principles and tools, particularly the work plan, schedule, and the document monitoring.
    • Assess the approach and achievements, regulate them in view of the observations and feedback received.
  • Work effectively in teams, develop leadership, make decisions in multidisciplinary, multicultural, and international contexts.
    • Make decisions, individually or collectively, taking into account the parameters involved (human, technical, economic, societal, ethical and environmental).
  • Adopt a professional and responsible approach, showing an open and critical mind in an independent professional development process.
    • Show an open and critical mind by bringing to light technical and non-technical issues of analysed problems and proposed solutions.

Learning Outcomes of UE

Understand and define the "maintenance" function in an industrial context; understand how maintenance may contribute on performance of the production; recognize the main maintenance policies and the management principles for RAMS (reliability, availability, maintenability and safety).
Understand the main concepts of quality management ; apply various "quality tools".
Optimize the layout of a workshop; schedule a project or a workshop; manage the supply chain; understand ERP management.

Content of UE

Maintenance and RAMS (reliability, availability, maintenability and safety); terminology; maintenance organisation; reliability of electronic systems, mechanical systems and structures. Some case studies are defined with respect of the specialization of the students.
"Quality" concepts ; total quality management ; main "quality" tools.
Operational decision in the enterprise: line balancing; project scheduling with resource; production scheduling (flowshop and jobshop); inventory management; MRP and ERP; Just-in-Time, facility layout.
