Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Mobilise the relevant analytical approaches and the appropriate methodological tools to analyse, rigorously, thoroughly and comparatively, the problems of social transitions and innovations, including their interactions and their spatial and temporal evolutions.
    • Appropriately apply analytical approaches and methodological tools in contexts of social transitions and innovations.
    • Comparatively analyse the problems of social transitions and innovations.
    • Understand the changes specific to transitions and social innovations.

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of the course, students will be able to: (a) distinguish scientific knowledge from other forms of knowledge; (b) know and apply the various principles and rules for writing a strong, convincing and competitive research/ dissertation project; (c) know and apply the different stages in the production of a scientific/dissertation work
 

Content of UE

This course will enable students to: (a) understand what scientific knowledge means; a university production; (b) be able to write a research/dissertation project (design, 5-page project); (c) be able to produce scientific knowledge according to the rules of the art in social sciences (the stages of the object construction). The different parts of the course will be presented by the professor and discussed with the students on the basis of concrete examples as linked to their different research topics - the project of which they will present at the end of the course.
