Learning Outcomes of UE

Awareness of the theoretical notions of re-employment, reassignment and recycling;
Case study
Evaluate the values and capacities for re-use, reassignment and recycling of a building, a set or more broadly of territories;

Content of UE

Awareness of the concepts of re-employment, reassignment and recycling;
Analysis of these approaches according to various spatial scales: territorial approach - (macro) & building approach (micro);

Work at the scale of the "Croissant Houiller" by carrying out a cartographic census with a view to completing an inventory of industrial wasteland.

Evaluate the values of buildings identify at a macro scale and identify architectural elements to be preserved while others could be dismantled
Evaluate the rate of reuse of building materials
Planning for deconstruction, conservation or reconstruction
Extrapolate quantitative data to a larger geographic scale and estimate the availability of reused materials
