    Students who failed the software modelling project during the first session, are required to submit their project by FRIDAY 6 AUGUST on the Moodle platform. If no deliverable has been submitted for any of the compulsory parts, or if the deadline has not been met, a score of 0/20 will be given.
    The project requirements, topic, eligibility and quality criteria remain unchanged from the first session. The project deliverables include the modelling part (counting for 1 third of the final score) AND the implementation part (counting for 2 thirds of the final score).

    Before the examination session of Term 2, at a fixed deadline communiated by the teacher at the beginning of the course, the deliverables of the implementation phase of the assignment have to be submitted via Moodle, following the critera detailed in the requirements document. These deliverables will be evaluated and will count for two thirds of the total.

    If no results of the modeling phase were submitted by the student during Term 1, a submission for Term 2 will NOT be taken into consideration and will automatically count as 0. If the due date for Q2 has not been met, a 0/20 will also be awarded.

    During Term 1, one deliverable has to be submitted through the Moodle platform before the imposed deadline. This first deliverable counts for one third of the final grade of this AA. The deliverable concerns the software modeling part of the project. It should be submitted in pdf format, and consist of a detailed modeling report including all used UML diagrams (according to the acceptability criteria specified in the project requirements), as well as a user interface mockup.
    During Term 2, the second deliverable concerning the implementation part of the project should be submited, counting for two thirds of the final grade of this AA.

    A grade of 0/20 will be given for this AA if
    - the first deliverable is not submitted in time by the student;
    - the second deliverable is not submitted in time by the student;
    - the acceptability criteria (specified in the project requirements) have not been respected.

    Content of Learning Activity

    The assignment consists of developing a software system with graphical user interface, on the basis of a textual requirements specification document.
    The development will be carried out in two phases. The software modeling phase is required to use the UML modeling language. the implementation phase is required to use the Java programming language, and should use design patterns. Unit tests (with JUnit) need to be provided as well to check that the developed software work correctly and corresponds to the functional and non-functional requirements.
