      Content of Learning Activity

      Overview and comparison of the microanatomy, histology and ultrastructure of several organic systems in invertebrate animals.
      The course comprises the following chapters:

      Characteristics of invertebrate epithelia,
      Cilia and flagella,
      Epidermis and epidermal productions,
      Feeding and digestive systems,
      Respiratory systems,
      Sensory systems (photoreception as an example).

      The course is supported by several training sessionsconsisting in the observation of histological sections with the light microscope.
