Two parts for this exam: Questions - answers Short questions will be asked to the students mainly based on the chapters approached during TP and exercises. The student will have to some few minutes before answering to the questions. Time +/- 15 mins. Individual work on a specific subject seen during the course. The student will develop his subject according to a given canvas in the title of given subject. The student will receive his question during the "blocus" period (five days before the exam). The student will present and comment their work during the exam session via a power-point presentation via the Teams platform - time allowed +/- 20 mins |

Content of Learning Activity
Reservoir engineering & drilling course is divided in five main parts which are: Part I provides fundamental knowledge on the reservoir rocks such as porosity, permeability, fluid saturation, concept of rock wettability & capillary pressure and relative permeability. Part II documents the fundamental thermodynamical properties for gas & crude oils. The complexity of hydrocarbon phase is not addressed, just an overall overview is presented. Part III introduces the concept of fluid flow in the reservoir. The radial diffusivity equation is derived and pressure transient analysis is introduced. Several chapters are more specialised describing the theory and practice of well testing and pressure analysis techniques, which are probably the most important subjects in the whole of reservoir engineering. Part IV deals with estimation of recovery factors of the primary drainage mechanisms and well trend performances. Part V covers the drilling and production techniques & technologies; it gives an introduction to the drilling rigs used to drill a petroleum well, the drilling technologies and the well equipment required for producing oil & gas fluids to surface.
