Description of the modifications to the Q2 2020-2021 assessment procedures (Covid-19) online or face-to-face (according to assessment schedule)
The assessment will made up of a written exam during the 2nd session (multiple choice questions, closed book, on Moodle Exam according to the applicable sanitary measures).
Content of Learning Activity
Social psychology aims to study how beliefs, emotions and behaviours are influenced by the imagined, real or implicit presence of others. The current programme will cover the main theories and methodologies in social psychology and give tools to understand how individuals live, think, feel and behave in the presence of others. Based on recent societal or professional issues and/or recent research progress, this programme will be divided into the following chapters: definitions, research methods and classical data analyses in social psychology; self and identity; social perception and social cognition; attitudes and change in attitude; stereotypes, prejudices and discrimination; social groups and intergroup relations; social influence; social thinking and communication ; altruism and aggression.
