Objectives of Programme's Learning Outcomes

  • Understand language of instruction and foreign languages (language skills)
    • Use French perfectly in a variety of non-technical situations, both orally and in writing
    • Understand, reformulate and summarise documents and presentations, in French, on various topics written by experts, including those related to current affairs
  • Use lexicographical resources and reference materials to lead linguistic mediation activities individually or as part of a team (professional skills)
    • Use printed or electronic dictionaries and reference materials appropriately
    • Reformulate, summarise, translate or interpret a document of general interest written or presented orally in a foreign language into French

Learning Outcomes of UE

At the end of this learning, students will be able to write precisely and concisely, in the right register, to use the precise words, to correct incorrect sentences and texts and to summarize, in high-level French, argumentative texts about current social, economic or cultural topics. 

Content of UE

Argumentative rhetoric; stylistic; sentence, paragraph and text structure; vocabulary; stylistic and lexical nuances; rhetoric development; enunciation perspective; review exercises as well as formulation and summary exercises.
